How do I book a hotelroom?
You use the Reykjavik hotels booking engine and enter the desired duration of stay by entering the arrival and departure dates, enter the number of rooms and room type. When you click on the search rooms button a list of available accommodations will be displayed. Once you see the list, you can see the types of rooms and the total prices.
Select the type of hotelrooom you like and click on Book to continue.
A new window will then open where you will can view the price of your order and you will be asked to enter your data. Once all the mandatory fields in the form are filled in, you will be asked to accept the payment condition. Click on the Confirm button to accept and proceed. After this operation you must give Credit card information.
The booking confirmation will be given via an email sent to the address entered. Should you not receive that email confirmation, please contact us as soon as possible.
How long does it take to receive a response to my booking?
The booking confirmation is given instantly because room availability is constantly updated in the system. In any case each individual hotel is solely responsible for everything concerning booking management through the system.
What is the payment method?
Your credit card is charged for the cost indicated at time of purchase. Prices and rooms availability are not guaranteed until the online payment is received. The deposit is not refundable.
Safety/Privacy
The information requested during registration is necessary for the hotel and reservation to manage the booking request. All information is strictly confidential and shall be transmitted via an encrypted channel that ensures privacy. Your credit card data, necessary to guarantee booking, is also transmitted through safe, on the protected bank server (SSL Secure Server).
How do I cancel a reservation?
If you wish to cancel your reservation for any reason you must call +354 514 8000 or send e-mail to the reservation department at reservations@grand.is
A cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to arrival otherwise a charge of one night will be withdrawn from advised credit card.
If you have any questions or complaints about your prepaid reservation, please contact our call center.
Is your reservation service free of charge?
Yes, hotel reservation through our system is free of charge. You should only pay the price of the selected services at the hotel.
Is it safe to provide my credit card info? Why is it necessary?
During the booking process there are cases when you should give your credit card data. Our company use the most modern decoding techniques (SSL) so your data are secured and nobody can access it. The hotels ask credit card info as guaranty.
How can I make special requests regarding my stay?
Special requests can be made when making your hotel booking online. Special requests are not guaranteed and will be honored depending on availability at check-in, but we will do our very best to accommodate the request. If you have specific needs or questions regarding your request, please call the hotel directly.
Are children charged the full room rate?
Usually there is no charge for one child under 12 years of age when sharing their parents' room with an extra bed. Breakfast is usually at ??% discount.
Rates are normally reduced for children under the age of 12 years.
What if I wish to extend my stay?
To continue to take advantage of our low rates, you should place another booking with us. If you book directly at the hotel for the extension period, you will be charged a different rate to our prices, which will usually be significantly higher.
When can I check in?
The common policy of hotels in Iceland is that check-out is before noon (12:00), check in time from 14:00 (2 p.m.).
