Day 5 - Fall Theme Day
You will have some free time until we join together in a sweat lodge ceremony in the evening. The sweat lodge is a native north american ceremonial similar to sauna which includes prayers and drumming. Native indians have taught icelanders in recent years the ritual. It is though a fact that this kind of bathing was practiced in the northern hemisphere for ages. But the ritual was only kept by native indians. Stones are heated in an exterior fire and then placed in a central pit in the ground in a middle of a Sweat Lodge tent. The ritual takes altogether 5-6 hours and about 2-3hours in the tent. Be prepared for hot and unusual experience but there are intermissions and you will always get what you need, water and air. It is about leaving your old kharma and be reborn to new one. You will feel like a newborn baby afterwards. It is not easy but very rewarding. Extreme experience that no one forgets. Dinner is included.
